The ONYXWorks® PC Gateway Interface card can be used as an alternative method to an Embedded Gateway when using the ONYXWorks® Graphics system.

The PC Gateway card is installed directly into the PC (with the ONYXWorks® Software Workstation installed), and serves as a node between ONYXWorks® and the AFP-3030/AFP-2800/DVC panels on the connected NFN (Notifier Network).

While embedded gateways have IP capability and connected via a Cat-5 cable, the ONYXWorks® PC Gateway alternative is connected directly to the NFN, whether it be through wire, low-speed multimode fibre or high-speed singlemode fibre. The version of PC card needed will depend on the type of connection overall.
