Surge protection is required to reduce the risk of potentially high voltage spikes into the system. Whilst all FireSense fire alarm equipment contains surge protection, it can not absorb all the energy as well as a stand alone surge protector.
The SURGE-MAINS provide the highest level of protection for critical and essential equipment. Their compact design makes them an ideal choice for space restricted applications. The SFD range has been engineered to protect sensitive loads.
They feature “All Mode Protection”, ensuring protection for all combinations of lines (L-N, L-PE, N-PE) ensuring maximum level of protection is achieved at all times.
The surge filters have two stages of varistor protection separated by a low pass LC filter. This two stage combination reduces the effects of high frequency noise and transients to provide the highest level of protection to sensitive loads.
